Always at the same place, the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, across three eras: 1963 to 1970, 1986 to 1992 and since 2015 (renamed the Mexico City Grand Prix in 2021). That makes twenty-five editions, and Max Verstappen has won five of them, more than anyone: next best has two.

The comeback people remember is Alain Prost's in 1990: he started thirteenth and won. It was an exception, because only three Mexican Grand Prix winners have started behind third place.

The next edition is on 1 November 2026. On the Saturday, with the official grid, we publish the preview with every driver's odds.

The bar is wins. Points are each era's points added as they were, so they favour whoever raced under the current system (25 for a win since 2010). Fastest laps are only counted from 2004.

In our simulator this is the 3rd of 30 circuits where the starting position matters most. It comes from the real races from 2014 to 2025: at each circuit we measure how closely the finishing order matches the starting order among the cars that finish, and the engine is tuned to reproduce it.

Results of every edition from Jolpica/Ergast. Pole is whoever started first. A podium only counts if the driver was classified. Linked years have their season page with our simulation, and linked drivers their own page. Photos are freely licensed from Wikimedia Commons: each one's author and licence are on the driver's page.
