Inside they are almost the same wheel: gear-driven motor, 2.3 Nm of force, 900 degrees of rotation, the same weights and three pedals. The G923 adds TrueForce, a progressive-feel brake and aluminium paddles, and it comes in an Xbox version. If you find them at a similar price, get the G923; if the G29 is clearly cheaper, it will not take anything important away from you.

Logitech G29 Driving Force
Who it is for: To spend as little as possible on a wheel with real force feedback and three pedals, if you find it discounted.

Logitech G923 TrueForce
Who it is for: If they are similarly priced: the same wheel with TrueForce, a better brake and an Xbox version.

In bold, what differs between the two. Figures from each manufacturer's official sheet; "not published" means the brand does not give it. We do not show prices because they change every week.
Logitech publishes the same figures for both: 2.3 Nm of torque, 900 degrees of rotation, 2.25 kg for the base and 3.1 kg for the pedals. Both have a hand-stitched leather rim, RPM lights, a desk clamp with bolt mounting points, and both are set up with the same software, G HUB. At the wheel, the force you feel in corners is the same.
TrueForce is what gives the G923 its name: the wheel receives information from the game, such as the engine or bumps, and passes it on as fine vibrations the G29 does not have. It only works in games that support it, so in many you will not notice anything. The G923 brake has a progressive spring that stiffens at the end of its travel, closer to a real car, and its paddles are aluminium instead of steel.
The G29 works on PlayStation and PC. For Xbox there is its sibling, the G920, the same wheel with a different licence. The G923 is sold in two versions, one for PlayStation and one for Xbox, and both work on PC. Neither works on PlayStation and Xbox at the same time.
