Vitantonio Liuzzi came into Formula 1 as 2004 Formula 3000 champion, and his first year was a half-year. In 2005 Red Bull split one seat between him and Christian Klien: Liuzzi raced four times and scored in the first, eighth at Imola.
In 2006 he moved to Toro Rosso, Red Bull's new team, and at Indianapolis he scored the first point in its history. In 2007, with Sebastian Vettel as team-mate in the second half of the year, he was sixth in China, his best result at the time. It was not enough to keep the seat.
He returned at the end of 2009 with Force India in place of Giancarlo Fisichella, who had gone to Ferrari, and in 2010 he raced his longest full season: 21 points, with another sixth in Korea from seventeenth on the grid. In 2011 he ended up at HRT, at the back of the grid, and that was the end of his career: 80 Grands Prix and 26 points.

The first number is always Liuzzi's. A team-mate is whoever started the same race for the same team. "In the race" only counts races both finished, because a retirement says nothing about who was quicker. "On the grid" is the starting position, with penalties already applied.
