Philippe Alliot started more than a hundred Grands Prix in Formula 1 and scored 7 points. A Frenchman born in 1954, he made his debut in 1984 with RAM, one of the humblest teams on the grid, and in two seasons never scored.

His points came slowly and always one at a time: sixth in Mexico with Ligier in 1986, three sixth places with Larrousse in 1987 (Germany, Spain and Mexico, from far back on the grid) and another in Spain in 1989. His best result was fifth at San Marino in 1993, back at Larrousse.

In 1994 he was McLaren test driver and got an unexpected race: he replaced the suspended Mika Häkkinen in Hungary. He retired. He ended his career that same season with one last race for Larrousse, with 109 Grands Prix and 7 points.

The first number is always Alliot's. A team-mate is whoever started the same race for the same team. "In the race" only counts races both finished, because a retirement says nothing about who was quicker. "On the grid" is the starting position, with penalties already applied.
