Maurício Gugelmin spent almost his whole Formula 1 career with the same team and the same team-mate. A Brazilian born in 1963, he made his debut in 1988 with March alongside Ivan Capelli, and the two stayed together when the team became Leyton House, until 1991.

His first year was his best: fourth at Silverstone and fifth in Hungary, 5 points. In 1989 came his only podium, at home: third in Brazil from twelfth on the grid. That same year, at the start in France, his car flew over another and landed upside down; he walked away and took the restart in the spare car.

Then the team went under, and Gugelmin with it: one point in 1990 and none in 1991. He raced 1992 with Jordan, without points, and went to CART. He stopped at 74 Grands Prix and 10 points.

The first number is always Gugelmin's. A team-mate is whoever started the same race for the same team. "In the race" only counts races both finished, because a retirement says nothing about who was quicker. "On the grid" is the starting position, with penalties already applied.
