Christijan Albers raced two and a half seasons in Formula 1, always with the slowest team on the grid. A Dutchman born in 1979, he had been DTM runner-up with Mercedes in 2003, and made his debut in 2005 with Minardi.
His only points came in the strangest race of the decade. At Indianapolis in 2005 only six cars took the start, and Albers finished fifth: 4 points that were all of his career. The rest of that year, and the next two, he spent at the back, first with Minardi and then with Midland, which became Spyker in 2007.
His exit was as strange as his points. At Silverstone in 2007 he pulled away from his stop with the fuel hose still attached and had to retire, and a few days later the team dropped him, with sponsorship problems in the background. He left with 46 Grands Prix and 4 points.

|---|---|---|---|

The first number is always Albers's. A team-mate is whoever started the same race for the same team. "In the race" only counts races both finished, because a retirement says nothing about who was quicker. "On the grid" is the starting position, with penalties already applied.
