Christian Fittipaldi carried the most famous name in Brazilian motor racing: nephew of Emerson, two-time world champion, and son of Wilson, who also raced in Formula 1. Born in 1971 and 1991 Formula 3000 champion, he made his debut in 1992 with Minardi and scored his first point in Japan, sixth.
In 1993, still at Minardi, he was fourth in South Africa and fifth at Monaco. At Monza, on the last lap, he touched his team-mate Pierluigi Martini just before the line, his car flipped in the air and crossed the finish almost standing on its tail. He was classified eighth.
In 1994 he moved to Footwork and was fourth at Aida and in Germany: 6 points, the best of his three years. He left for CART at the end of the season, with 40 Grands Prix and 12 points.

The first number is always Fittipaldi's. A team-mate is whoever started the same race for the same team. "In the race" only counts races both finished, because a retirement says nothing about who was quicker. "On the grid" is the starting position, with penalties already applied.
