Lance Stroll
Canadiense · 2017–presente
Lance Stroll arrived in Formula 1 in 2017, aged eighteen and with the 2016 European Formula 3 title to his name. The Canadian, born in Montreal in 1998, made his debut with Williams and reached the podium in his very first season: third in Baku, from eighth on the grid, in one of the most chaotic races of that year.
In 2019 he moved to Racing Point, the team his father, Lawrence Stroll, had bought the year before and which would become Aston Martin in 2021. With them he had his best spell: in 2020 he finished on the podium at Monza and in Sakhir, and in Turkey, on a soaked track, he took the only pole of his career, although he finished ninth.
In 2023 he broke both wrists in a cycling accident a few weeks before the season started and still raced in Bahrain, finishing sixth. That year, with Fernando Alonso as team-mate and an Aston Martin that started the season as the second car on the grid, he had his best championship: tenth with 74 points.
More than two hundred Grands Prix, three podiums and one pole. His career is always debated because of the surname of the team owner, but nobody handed him that pole in Turkey.
What if Stroll had another car?
We took his real attributes and put him in the best car of each era: in a real driver's seat, against the team-mate that car actually had. 30 full seasons in each.
